Travel to Pokhara:
Fly from Kathmandu on one of the many domestic airlines. You can also ride on a bus (tourist, local mini and micro bus) from Kathmandu, Chitwan, Bhairahawa.
Ideal for:
- Sightseeing the mountains, sunrise, sunset, caves, museums
- Short hikes and mountain biking around Pokhara and starting longer treks around the Annapurna region
- Adventure sports like paragliding, ultra light flight; boating and kayaking in the lakes around Pokhara

October to December; mid February to May (hot during the April and May)

- Mountain biking to Naundanda (takes a day)
- Hiking to the World Peace Pagoda (half a day)

- Visiting Sarangkot to view the sunrise and paraglide (overnight stay after half an hour’s drive and half a day for paragliding)
- Visiting museums around Pokhara – International Mountain Museum, Pokhara Regional Museum, Natural History Museum
- A transit point for starting the treks to Jomsom and Annapurna Sanctuay
